E te iwi kia ora – Welcome to the Maungārongo Marae Website!

Nestled at the south-western foot of Mount Ruapehu in Ohakune, the Central North Island of New Zealand, is Maungarongo Marae.  Maungarongo is the home base for the uri of the Maramatanga of Te Mareikura Hori Enoka and Ngati Tui-o-Nuku hapu.

This website provides visitors with information about the marae, general history  and has a facility to book the marae.  It also allows uri of the Maramatanga and Ngati Tui-o-Nuku to access further cultural and historical information through a registration process that connects to a restricted site.
